Glacier National Park West Side

Greetings! We found a spot of cell service so I figured I would do a quick update. We enjoyed our campsite and after a leisurely breakfast we packed up and headed out to do what part of Going The Sun Road we were able to do as it’s still closed for the winter. We hiked the Trail of Cedars which contains the easternmost pacific rainforest and saw lots of raging rivers and waterfalls. We are now on the  east side of the park and planning to tackle this section of Going the Sun Road that is open as well as a jaunt to Many Glacier.

Meet our friend Sam Squatch. He’s excited to get out of his home in the Rockies and explore some interesting places this summer. Keep an eye out for him in pics.

Belton Bridge. It opened in 1920 and in 1964 when a raging flood came through the bridge remained standing while a newer bridge down the river was washed out

The colorful rocks of McDonald Lake. One of my favorite pics.
